The splice takes less than 30 seconds to do and will arrive with the necessary tools to do so. To use, just take the main line, wrap three times around your saddle loops, as you would for a prusik on a Tree Tether. Then, do the same to the other side with the continuous loop (included in the package). Grab your carabiner, clip in, and you are ready to rock.
